The Global Stakeholder Roundtable is an initiative facilitated by the EU and US outdoor industry to bring all relevant players – brands from various industries, suppliers, slaughterhouses, meat producers and others – together to improve the transparency, traceability and animal welfare across the global down supply chain and promote best practices. On June 23rd, the European Outdoor Group (EOG) and German Sporting Goods Federation (BSI), hosted a meeting in Hamburg, Germany.
The objectives of the meeting were to review recent developments, including standards, outline the landscape of stakeholders and their respective roles, expectations and goals, and to investigate the remaining challenges that brands are facing. The goal was to establish collective needs and tangible next steps to scale the best practices across multiple industries. The same meeting will be hosted by the Outdoor Industry Association at Texworld on July 22nd.
